"He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will find compassion."
We're all guilty of playing the blame game. We either blame ourselves, or we blame someone else, or we blame God, or if nothing else, we blame fate. Blame is an absolute waste of time. When we blame ourselves, we multiply our guilt and decrease our self-esteem, not to mention throwing ourselves into the unchangeable past. If we blame God we cut off our only source of power. Doubt replaces trust, and we put down roots of bitterness which can make us cynical. If we blame others, we enlarge the distance between us and them and we settle for so much less than God ever intended. And on top of it all, we don't find relief!
